Children Books, Cover Reveals, and Boykin Spaniels

Children Books, Cover Reveals, and Boykin Spaniels

Yesterday marked a milestone I’ll never forget: the moment I shared the cover of my first book, The Adventures of Two Brown Dogs: The Lovely State of South Carolina, with the world. And in just 24 hours, I’ve been overwhelmed by the support, excitement, and love from all of you.

For those who don’t know, the story follows two Boykin Spaniels—Bud and Lady—on an adventure across South Carolina. While I won’t give too much away just yet, the cover reveal gives you a little peek into the joy, beauty, and spirit these dogs bring to the journey.

Why Boykin Spaniels? They’re more than just South Carolina’s state dog—they represent the heart of our state. Boykins are loyal, energetic, and always ready for an adventure. And if you’ve ever owned one, you know their unique ability to win over your heart.

And then there’s South Carolina itself. Our state is rich with history, natural beauty, and vibrant culture. From the moss-draped oaks in the Lowcountry to the rolling hills of the Upstate, it’s a place worth celebrating. Bud and Lady's journey is a reflection of my love for this state, and I hope it inspires others to explore its many treasures.

The past day has been a whirlwind. I’m so grateful for the messages, shares, and encouragement as this children's book begins its journey. Stay tuned—there’s so much more to come!

Thank you for being a part of this adventure,

Summer
